About Us: Cliff Cisneros – San Pedro Personal Trainer Shain Rossi
Clifford Takeshi Cisneros: personal trainer
I have been training friends and family since I was 18, and I recently earned my bachelor’s degree in theater from the University of California – San Diego, graduating with Cum Laude honors. I worked as a supervisor at the school’s weight room prior to joining Elite Triangle Fitness. I would say I have a knack for keeping people motivated and positive, and a lot of experience with bodybuilding, as my father was an amateur competitor at one time, and I have immersed myself in that field. I am also big on caloric, macro, and micronutrient diet preparation. It’s something that I stick to personally, and I believe it is the most efficient way of achieving whatever fitness goals anyone has.
One thing that really excites me about personal training is seeing the results of what I do. I like to affect people in a positive manner. It may seem a little selfish to say that I feel happy making others happy, but I can’t stop doing it. I really enjoy not only helping people change their bodies, but also their attitudes about themselves.
I was born and raised in the South Bay and I love living here. It’s the perfect distance from nearly everything anyone would like to do. Whether it’s beaches, hikes, or a lively nightlife, the South Bay has it all within reach. I don’t ever see myself moving out of southern California.
I started getting involved in fitness at the age of 16. This was the first year I began playing football in high school, and our coach put us on a workout regimen to prepare us for the upcoming season. This is where my passion for fitness was ignited. Since then, I fell in love with working out and challenging myself to see how much I could test the physical limits of my body. It also helped with my insecurity about my height growing up. I figured if I couldn’t grow vertically, I would grow horizontally, so to speak.
Personal philosophy and interests
I am very passionate about living every day of my life. I feel incredibly fortunate to live on the earth that I do, and to experience the beauty of living every single day. I am very much into learning about new things. My mother has been a teacher for 30 years, and always emphasized in my life the power of knowledge. I enjoy reading about all kinds of different subjects in the fitness world.
It also goes without saying that I really enjoy working out. I could almost say that it’s an addiction. When I’m not working, I can be found at work lifting weights. I also enjoy working out at the beach as well. There’s nothing better than getting a good workout in under the sun, with the smell of the ocean breeze in the air.
Cooking is another passion of mine. I believe it came hand-in-hand when I got serious about my fitness. Along with that comes a love for eating. I enjoy trying out new places to eat, and gathering around food with the people I love.
I have been involved in theatre for 8 years and counting, as well as what I chose to study at UCSD. Now that I am finished with school, I plan to pursue acting professionally. I also enjoy writing, particularly sketch and stand-up comedy.
